Links - book publisher's websites
There are a great many different book publishers around the UK ranging in size from the small and specialised presses which only produce a few titles per year through to multinational corperations.
One thing that they nearly all have in common these days however is the existance of their own websites. Many of these websites provide details of recently published and forthcoming titles. Some websites also feature other content like author biographies, web enhancements for published works, free previews, background information and suggestions for further reading. Some (but not all) publishers also offer the oportunity to purchase books from them directly - sometimes at a discounted rate.

- Anderson Press Andersen Press publishes childrens books, with the majority of these being picture books.
- Barefoot Books Barefoot Books publish children's books and also produce products related to their book titles.
- Bernard Babani Bernard Babani publish a selection of books about computers, electronics and related topics.
- Black Lace Books Black Lace Books publishes erotic fiction written by women and aimed at a female audience.
- Blackwell Publishing Blackwell Publishing produce books and journals for the academic, medical, and professional sectors.
- Bloodaxe Books Bloodaxe Books publish a wide selection of books, but specialise in poetry.
- Bloomsberry Publishing Bloomsbury Publishing caterers for both adult and children with a large selection of published books.
- Cambridge University Press The Cambridge University Press specialises in accademic publications and journals covering a number of subjects.

- Collins Collins publish a selection of books which cover a range of different styles and topic areas.
- Computer Step Computer Step specialise in publishing books which cover a range of computer related topics.
- David FUlton Publishers David Fulton Publishers publish books for initial teacher training and continuing professional development
- Dorling Kingsley Dorling Kindersley publishes reference books for both children an adults about a wide variety of topics.

- HarperCollins HarperCollins are a large publishing house whose books cater for people of all ages with most interests.
- Haynes Haynes are best known for their car service and repair manuals, although they also produce manuals on other topics.
- HMSO Many UK government books, leaflets and other publications are published by HMSO (Her Majesty's Stationary Office).
- I.B. Tauris I.B. Tauris publishes general non-fiction books and new work in the humanities and social sciences.
- Ian Allen Publishing Ian Allen Publishing is a specialist publisher concentrating on largely transport related subjects.
- Inter-Varcity Press Inter-Varsity Press publishes Christian books covering a variety of themes.
- Jessica Kingsley Publishers Jessica Kingsley Publishers specialise in professional and academic books for the social and behavioural sciences.
- Ladybird Ladybird publish books aimed at chidren aged upto 8 years of age.
